Well Integrity

The Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2011 commenced on 29 April 2011. NOPSEMA is responsible for the administration of the Well Operations Management Plans (WOMP) and approval of well activities' under Part 5 of these regulations.

Amendments to Part 5 of the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2011

NOPSEMA guidance note GN1602 - Well operations management plan content and level of detail - Rev 1 - June 2016 (PDF 264KB) provides information to assist titleholders on the content and level of detail to be included in WOMP submissions from 1 January 2016.

This guidance note is the first in a series that will be published to assist titleholder's to comply with their well integrity responsibilities following amendments in 2016 to Part 5 of the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2011.

Submissions

WOMP and/or Applications for approval to undertake a well activity (AAUWA) should be submitted via the instructions provided on the Making a submission to NOPSEMA page and in compliance with Regulation 11A.01(2) of the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2011.
