Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) within the offshore industry are invited to join our HSR Forum to discuss the latest OHS issues for HSRs in the offshore industry, and be a part of the HSR Awards.
NOPSEMA is hosting its fifth HSR Forum in 2026, in partnership with Australian Energy Producers and the Australian Council of Trade Unions.
This year, we will focus on the role of Health and Safety Representatives as effective and empowered HSRs within the offshore industry.
The forum provides an opportunity for HSRs to interact with NOPSEMA officers and exchange information about industry OHS and safety management trends and issues.
Attendees will have the chance to network with other HSRs from around Australia throughout the day through professionally facilitated sessions.

NOPSEMA will also hold its HSR Awards to celebrate HSRs excelling in their role. We are recognising HSRs that demonstrate any of the following criteria:
- Continuous improvement – identification and implementation of improvements that reduce OHS risk
- Advocacy – sets an example in advocating for OHS in the workplace
- Leadership – promotes and demonstrates through their actions the importance of the HSR role

Please note: WHS Foundation will deliver an HSR Oil & Gas Refresher on Tuesday 25 August at the WHS Centre in North Lake, WA. This is an opportunity for HSRs to access professional development in Perth across two consecutive days.
