NOPSEMA independent operational review underway

The Australian Government has commenced its statutory review of the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA).

The Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 requires NOPSEMA’s operations to be reviewed every five years. The review will consider NOPSEMA’s performance and effectiveness as Australia’s offshore energy regulator.
